Civil War Soldier for a Day

November 15, 2008 (10am-4pm) 

 This is a one day mini version of our summer Civil War Children's Camps.  Recruits will learn to drill and finish with a battle.  Supplies and equipment will be loaned out, and campers will receive a Civil War kepi (hat) to keep.  Pick your side- North or South!  The cost is $40 per camper, pre-registration is required.  Click below for forms.

Historic Encounters Summer Day Camps for 2009

 Boys and girls ages 8-12 can learn about 19th century life through hands-on activities on the plantation, crafts, hikes, field trips to the Carolina Raptor and Latta Nature Centers, canoeing on the Catawba, horseback riding and more!
