Discover Latta Fall Homeschool Day September 24, 2014 (10am-2pm)
Soldiers Fall In! Toy musket in hand, kids will march and drill as a Civil War Soldier while learning in-depth of both Confederate and Union armies. Students will also partake in 19th century farm chores including gathering drinking water, eggs, and firewood during the Life on The Farm program. Visitors will meet the Latta farm animals, see the Yeoman Farm Cabin, and see the Kitchen Garden all while learning of the importance of Cotton on the Plantation. No reservations are required ($6 per person, children 4 & under FREE)

Jane Austen Tea September 27, 2014 (10am-4pm)
Enjoy a beautiful Regency era tea party on the lawn. Learn tea, fashion, and etiquette customs as children enjoy Old Time Photos dressed in vintage attire and are welcome to bring their favorite Doll to join in on the festivities. All visitors will enjoy the plantation grounds, museum, and open-house tour. Tea party tickets are $3 plus regular admission ($7 Adults, $6 Seniors/Students, Children 5 & Under FREE). Tea times: 11:00am, 2:00pm registration upon arrival.

All Hallows Eve October 18, 2014 (10am-2pm)
Frankenstein, Dracula, Goblins and more! Learn about the history of Halloween and meet some of its famous characters throughout history. Children can trick or treat around the plantation, participate in costume contests, make crafts, and enjoy countless activities. ($8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for students, ages 5 and under FREE).

Ghost Walk October 24-25, 2014 (7-10pm)
Travel through the Plantation at night as you venture past an explosive Civil War battlefield, survive a soldiers cemetery, escape a ghostly prison camp and enjoy being frightened all in the spirit of Halloween. This Haunted-Trail type of attraction is not for young children, admission is $10 per person.

Folk Life Festival November 8-9, 2014 (10am-4pm)
Join us for a true family fun event featuring entertainment by Southern Express. The festival features an array of arts and crafts vendors selling everything from jewelry to pottery. Local food and beverage vendors will be on site serving up everything from BBQ to funnel cakes and even local beer. Children will enjoy storytelling, crafts, games, and face painting. ($8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for students, ages 5 and under FREE)

Plantation Christmas November 28-29, 2014 (10am-4pm)
Experience an 1860s Christmas as you walk through the plantation. See period Christmas decor, meet St. Nick, see Christmas baking in the kitchen, and learn about period Christmas traditions. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for students, ages 5 and under free.

Candlelight Christmas December 6, 2014 (6-9pm)
Step back in time to a Latta family Christmas as you tour the plantation by candlelight. Visitors will meet the Latta family and see them celebrate the holiday through dancing, music, and storytelling. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see cooking in the kitchen. Admission is $10 per person, ages 5 and under free.
